Here's three unrelated bugs that I've encountered:
I played against the Egyptians but the AI didn't seem to know how to handle the unique unit-only thing. They never really did anything. The Zulu AI may have some issues too.
On certain African maps, the resource sockets didn't allow me to place trading posts on them.
I started a game playing against Calfucura. He began the game shouting "I am Frederick the Great." (he's not)
1. Well what difficulty you playing on? The Expert AI works without any problems. Atleast when you dont play on Water maps.
2. They are just to be there... Not rly implemented.
3. Thats kinda funny Thanks !
No one has ever done the huge task of recording a lot of AI taunts. Due to this lack, all use AI taunts that exist in the game. Unfortunately, some of them refer to cultural aspects, or name characters. The original Japanese taunts-set for example is completely unused because: "Tokugawa greets you". He talks about himself in the third person.
Tokugawa's taunts and dialogues were probably some of the best out there.
When asking for too much resources........"Greedy hands are cut off" (what I remember"
When he was your opponent last game..........."Hmmmmm, I thought it was your head I placed in my garden"
When you grab too much treasures and he is your opponent......."You grab resources like a spoiled child....I will need to discipline you."
There was more, but in the end, I will really miss Tokugawa in general.
May he rest in piece.......
I am willing, but will need more info, and how to submit and all that.
Its just I am afraid its not just the 300 dialogues, but also the character investations you need to put in. You need to sound like someone you are doing the voices for, and I think I am not good enough to do that yet.
