Version Mismatch

Fri Jul 20, 2018 3:31 pm

Hello everyone,

I have Age of  Empires 3 on CDs. I wanted to play Wars of Liberty together with one friend. He has the Steam version. We hostet a match, but then there stood version mismatch. We both updated the versions, but there stood the same. In which folder must I put the files to play together? Or does it not work between CD and Steam version?

I would be very happy about an answer.

Have a nice day

Kilian

Did you update your Aoe3, Warchiefs AND TAD to the newest version before installing WOL?
There shouldnt be a version missmatch between cd and steam. Only difference is that the Steam versions game files have a dictionary called " BIN "
