Difficulty

There are those who say Expert is too hard and is impossible, and there are those who say the opposite, that it's absurdly easy and can't be relied on for a challenge. I say it depends on circumstances outside of just difficulty, but who am I to say anything? I'm just a dude who beats Expert Aztecs on black sea then gets wrecked by Hard French on great planes.

How about a compromise.

Is it possible to add extra difficulty settings?

For example, keep the vanilla Sandbox-Expert, then add in Difficulty 1 through Difficulty 9, with 1 being a computer that literally suicides its vills and does nothing, and Difficulty 9 being a Skynet AI with 10,000x better production and auto-spawning tommynator trucks out the TC.

This sounds more like a parody of a suggestion than a real suggestion.

Your results that you mentioned are based entirely based on the map you chose. You could have probably defeated any civ on expert on Black Sea, its a closed map, easier to defend.
Great Plains is open and harder to defend

Why not make an AI that learns due to matches.
Like 1000 game vs Japanese.. They will learn new tactics every game.
Then you could say, that they are impossible to beat...

I dont think there is a way to impliment that into AOE3 or any other AOE

 It's strange but when I use a less fierce civ like the Italians, expert AI attacks you more, like they know my military is soft. However if I use a stronger military civ like any of the vanilla ones, the expert AI stops rushing after one assault and then gives up the military assault quite easily. So maybe they do adjust.  lol
