but the xmb file can be converted to xml file by using the file converter tools from Aoe3ED

Yes, the file xmb can be converted... but it's much easier to edit xml ... but to our friend Lightwell7, I give a tip, always make a backup of the original so that we do not have to download everything again

Ok... Do you use Windows?
If yes, go to the folder C: / Programs Files / Microsoft Games / Age of Empires III / data
Locate the xml file with the name of protoy
Select and right click and choose  option  "edit"
"In nomine Domini"
"Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam"
"Um Deus, um rei, uma fé, uma lei"

Also, if you convert protoy.xml.xmb to .xml, that is not the mod's xml. If you are playing the mod, you should have the mod's protoy.xml in data.

Just more proof that I'm not a programmer.

I checked, and I found xml.xmb, xml.bak, and just plain vanilla protoy. Turns out it had a hidden "Xml" on the end, but just didn't say it in the file name.
The numbers line up with what you said earlier. Thanks.

I blame microsoft, for deciding that hiding file name extensions by default was a good idea.
