Marble Statue

Hello all,
i want to ask, how can i use the marble statues from Italy? I usualy don't use them, but they are thinked to block the enemy expansion and to not build the trading post, right? But you basicaly have to spend 100 wood to a less difendible structure when you can invest 200 wood on the trading post itself. Also, the advantage of preventing natural disaster is basicaly useless because eenmy Ai doesn't use them, if natural disasters are the abilities from the monument. I also understand that are usefull to see stealth, but from the second age you can send the cart to trasform architecs in mafioso, so you have your free see stealth.

If you are exclusively playing Single Player, it's useless for you. But a lot of people are playing Multiplayer with humans.

There are some niche uses to use this against the AI:
- Prevent forts from being build very close to you
- When you destroyed their first TC, you can place statues near their base so that they cannot spam buildings there

IMO, the building remains too niche to be a real bonus of the civ. The civ in general is a collection of low-impact bonuses (except for the extra range) that are combined into an interesting civ. It just doesn't have something in which it excels.
