Kingdom of Two Sicilies

Sun Oct 01, 2017 12:38 pm

Hi. I'm new on this forum and i like your Mod. I'm from Southern Italy but before 1861 my land had been called "Kingdom of Two Sicilies". I want to ask only this: Is there any chance you will put this civ in your Mod?
Thank you for your attention.

I believe it's obvious we've gone for Unified Italy; as a result, no chance for Two Sicilies. However, some elements from this period can be found in our Italian civ.

Kingdom of Two Sicilies was located in the Italian Peninsula but was a free kingdom with different languages (Neapolitan and Sicilian are very different to Italian language). It was one of most advanced State in Europe. At the second Expo which was held in Paris in 1856 the Kingdom of the two Sicilies was awarded third place for industrial development in Europe, after the United Kingdom  and France.
You can find this info and other here:  http://www.pletthistory.org/talks/the-g ... o-sicilies
Please don't understimate this Kingdom that collapsed because of false promises of Giuseppe Garibaldi.

The answer is NO. We aren't going to do a Italian Sub - Faction, totally unnecessary.

And why modifying an already completed civ, just to make it more complicated to handle — and especially more complicated to build up?

A "Italian city state" native site might be a good alternative...

Except that's not how European native sites are going to work.
