IMO, Colombia early game can suffer from severe food shortages, usually making me unable to make a real army before minute 9 or 10. Something else I noticed is that the HC cards improving the paisano trickle are usually extremely important in my decks. I suggest to lower the importance of these cards by lowering their effect from 15% to 10%, and transferring these 5%'s to the market techs.
ShakkaShuu, you forgot, paisano is a unique colombian Villager that cannot gather Food, trickling it instead. Gathers other resources and constructs buildings
that's a reason why this villager can't build mill

there are slow rises like the one in Paraguay that goes up around 5 min, but with Colombia you go up to min 9 if you collect only wood and gold which is what you suggest, something that is not competitive and much less helpful
You can age up to II with Colombia in 5-6 minutes. When aging up, I usually start focussing on making towers, and other more useless buildings before these. That way the enemy will have difficulties reaching the towers, and usually starts destroying these buildings, who then spawn guerilla.
Colombia is however very dependant on the distance to wood, and the availability of gold, since you have rather few troops you cannot protect your vils.
