Re: KoSJ Changes?

Well, if you think of them in terms of aoe3, you will find yourself at a immense disadvantage. For one, you will notice how except for the one time shipment of Cattiatores, you have no light cavalry counter at range and must use hand based methods instead.

Re: Love The Tupi! Spy house looks off

In general, the safehouse is a generic building for all cultures (except those with a different unit than the spy like the LA coronal or the Middle Eastern Hashishin) and thus keeps the same model whether it's for asians, natives, africans, or a european based culture. Could change in future but doe...

Re: KoSJ Changes?

I find it a little corny that you have the longswordsman as a slavic champion style unit and the footman as the actual longswordsman. I can't think of any existing aoe2 uu's that line up with the longswordsman of the maltese. The closest thing that exists statswise is a slav halberdier with druzhini...

Re: KoSJ Changes?

Malta is obviously a aoe2 representation in wol like some civs have reps of Aom features. Only thing I suggest possibly is to give malta a blacksmith like building and possibly adding even more aoe2 unit roles/ uu's. The blacksmith would work like aoe2 would. Ranged attack boosts that increase arche...

Re: USA Purchase

Ye, just ask the person who has done tr45 in wol on multiple occasions. When it comes to treaty like conditions, you run into civs like egypt and zulu that become underprepared unless you are lucky and have a great micro, then have civs like USA and Hapsburgs that can unleash really expensive units ...

Re: USA Purchase

the only way such a price would be justified is if the trickles were as much as a upgraded factory.

Re: Balkans - plant culture

Firstly, Crops are much better source of food than most civilizations have access to in the game due to gathering rate. Secondly, Geese from the Hunting lodge are a alternative to farming and also provide quite a bit of food. The logic is to build the crops before you actually need them.

Re: The current case of Peru

Currently, Peru is in a good spot for the most part. Brenero's are mildly a pain to deal with which they should be, any buff would make them unbearable like when the civ was first introduced. The cards you suggested seem reasonable enough and should be considered. One thing that was mentioned that I...

Re: The Haitian Civilzation

All I need is you to provide the link to the thread (can't seem to find it). If the team has already resolved this issue, than I suppose Haiti will once again be a reasonable civilization to use. The other day I saw a new player using Haiti in a 2v2 and saw how useless they were from a offensive and...

Re: Italian Balancing

Ya, from playing Italy in all sorts of games, its clear that there isn't many realistic pastabilities of gameplay as the civilization. More often than not you become dependent on alpini, halberds, and hussars with berseglieres following out of favor later on and having the worse hp and attack'd cava...
