It's not just you, all the Polynesian special buildings (Fale, Heiau and Wharenui) are not working in the current patch (1.0.9c). The Fale and Heiau are also fixed for the next patch.

Actually, it's a Treasure that's crashing the game, not a Maori Wharenui (the Maori building). It's one that has a statue and whose treasure are Mother-of-Pearl Paua shells that provides 250 Coin when claimed (if it worked properly).
Anyway, this bug is fixed for the next patch.

Because the Elmeti is a mercenary unit, and mercenaries are supposed to be trainable only from the Saloon for the Europeans civs.

Everything is okay based on what I've read and tested (I used the Envoy model instead of "ottoorgan" as I don't have the latter.
